We successfully presold 500KG of PCTG. Thank you all who participated.
So now updates of what has already gone wrong and what has gone right.
Let's start with wrong.
The Lead time has already extended. We thought we could get them out in 4 weeks. It is currently looking like 6. So we are currently targeting having all the PCTG orders out by end of March. (Production done over the next two weeks. One week for a truck to get to us. And then 1 week for us to ship it all out)
Why is it taking longer? Good Things!
We ordered 1000KG to start. That takes longer to make. The response was good enough that we thought we could get another 500KG sold reasonably based on your interest. (Ya'll were a bit slow on the startup. But we think you might rally again, lol)
Everything will be on 1 KG spools. (We know we sold 3KG spools. If dealbreaker call us) But it was simpler for our partner manufacturer to keep it on 1KG's at this point and leaves open the clear optimization of 3KG spools. You get a more flexible option, we get 1KG activated faster. And there is tad less production risk
The 1000KG also allowed us to hit another price break which will let us keep the price where it is for a bit and start the trend down toward $13.
We may open up preorders again for folks. But we have already had people ask "Where is my PCTG order." Even though we called it Preorder all over the place. We can't keep the prices down if we have to do that type of customer support. If you don't know what you are buying you shouldn't buy it here. We can't make it much clearer than we have.
So that is the good news and the bad news. If you cannot possibly survive an extra two weeks as we get the larger order message us normally and we will cancel your order.
If you ordered PCTG and other stuff then the entire order will ship when PCTG comes in. We cannot keep pricing low buy shipping more than needed.
Thanks everyone again for the support. And welcome to all of who are are new. Now leave us alone we have work to do. (Seriously we are getting a tad behind on fulfilling orders and working to get caught up)
