To be honest we might be lying, it is possible in October we will have time to do another run. But we are not planning on it, currently.
At Slant 3D we are prepping for the Christmas season. So we have to focus on our core business...3D Printing parts for people all over the world. We have to be sure that a kid in Africa can deliver parts to a woman in New York through things like our Etsy Plugin. That is the main job of the company.
We really love what we are able to do with Tangled. But if we split our time you guys will be disappointed and so will everyone else.
Tangled is by no means shutting down. We will be back in a big way in January.
Here is how we are doing on Masterplan.
We have equipment for PETG in transit. It will be be able to be released in the new year with a big price reduction.
We are testing and refining Spooless. This has a minimum scale problem. But the machinery is in place. We just have to refine the processes.
Redirects
We will be revamping memberships over the next little while. Giving a bunch of new value (insights into filament sales, and other goodies)
We will be adding to the site in the new year as well in a big way.
Tangled Testing is Ramping and we are refining the format of those videos to make they useful to yall. We will also start to put them into technical sheets.
Changes
We have not been able to get tangled moved to the midwestern facility yet. That will likely have to come in the new year as well.
We will not be doing 2 KG spools. Since planning that the machine ecosystem has changed to where that would just not be a good product for yall. At least as we have planned it. (But we might have another angle)
Overall Tangled is going very well. We just have to make sure that we don't get out in front of our feet with everything we are doing.
We expect that we can do another price drop in january and then rapidly reduce from there.
But bottom line. If you want tangled filament you need to purchase it now, because we do not currently intend to restock until the new year.
See you then. Or in a couple of minutes if you do actually want to buy some stuff.
Thank you all for coming along on this project to sustainable reduce the cost of good filament.
I found a tiny frog (plastic) in my third spool of my first order.
I thought it was really cute and placed another order with you because of it.
That's all.
Keep up the good work & the cool design lessons on YouTube. Good luck on the winter rush! (The contact page is broken, so I came here to share this.)
Please let us know when your filament is AMS compatible. The recycled and black spools both end up too wide to fit in my AMS.
