Subscription Changes in the Next Month

Hey Everyone
Wanted to give you all the heads up there will be a change to subscription settings starting 30 days from now.
We have the $7 subscription for free shipping and $10 filament. We wanted to make sure that it was a great deal for people that regularly need filament. The point of it was to create predictability about how much filament we need to make each month. But there has been a lot of abuse of it. Folks ordering the sub and then canceling immediately after their order.
We want to dissuade this a bit so we can keep the efficiencies to keep the cost down and make sure that we are delivering reliably (The random orders throw our projections out of whack). So the monthly subscription will be increasing to $9-$10 per month.
But we don't want to whack subscribers that have been using it consistently and honestly.
So we will be introducing an annual subscription for $65 dollars for people that need filament on the regular. It will still be for $10 filament and free shipping on every order. (We are also attempting to remove the order quantity cap so print farms can fire up again. (But that may go into a business subscription)
Thank you all you have been with us as we continue to drive down the cost of filament.
Onward and Downward.
Why aren’t existing subscribers (more than 1 month) grandfathered in on the $7 pricing? Why am I being punished for others actions when this is the model that you created tangled?
As someone whos been looking at this for a while now, but never subbed since I don't really use dozens of rolls constantly, the main thing keeping me from subbing is the subbing itself (even thou the price is very fair)... like I don't order enough to justify consistent subbing. Is it possible to have a 1 time payment for like 5-7$ to order a 1 time small amount (like less than X (lets say 12) amount of rolls)? Or hell, if that isn't possible due to the low filament cost (sorta like costco memberships), why not have a flat fee payment (lets say about the price of a monthly sub) for people who don't want to sub? That way…
The changes to your pricing model are reasonable, but saying that customers who are using the system in a manner you explicitly endorsed as "we have no problem with that" are "abusers" and not using the system "honestly" is needlessly rude.
At first Tangle offered membership for monthly filament delivery but they tanked that idea for this one and somehow taking away consistent subscriptions is now the problem............this was coming from miles away and everyone should have seen it. Can someone explain how this plan is superior in driving consistency versus a monthly subscription that pre-paid amount is set and delivery is made same time every month?
Was going to give a try for a few months to see how it would work out, but an increase right after i started my membership is very disheartening. I get now that in not the target audience. Hope things work out for yall.
